## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

EYEWITNESS REPORTED SEEING THE AIRCRAFT BOUNCE TWO POSSIBLE THREE TIMES DURING THE LANDING ATTEMPT, RUNWAY 17. GROUND STRIKE EVIDENCE INDICATES PROPELLER STRIKES, UNKNOWN GOUGES, AND DRAG MARKS BEGINNING AT MIDFIELD AND CONTINUING FOR 637 FEET ENDING IN THE TURF WHERE THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST. A DEBRIS FIELD CONTAINING PIECES OF THE NOSE WHEEL BEAD SEAT, END CAPS, THRU BOLT, BEARING COVERS, FIBERGLASS, AND NOSE WHEEL COVER WAS LOCATED AT MID-FIELD. AIRCRAFT EVALUATION REVEALED SIGNS OF EXCESSIVE SIDE LOAD FORWARD OF THE COCKPIT RESULTING IN SKIN DAMAGE, SHEARED RIVET, BREAKAGE OF THE ENGINE MOUNT AND NOSE GEAR FORK, LOSS OF THE NOSE WHEEL ASSEMBLY AND PROPELLER DAMAGE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)
