## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AT APPROXIMATELY 0900 HRS. ON 7/17/17 ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ (INSTRUCTOR) AND ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ (STUDENT PILOT) WERE ATTEMPTING TO TAKEOFF FROM FXE RUNWAY 9. PILOT 2 STATED ?SHORTLY AFTER ROTATION WHILE STILL ABOVE THE RUNWAY, AN ALARMING VIBRATION WAS FELT COMING FROM THE ENGINE AT THAT POINT PILOT 1 IMMEDIATELY TOOK OVER THE FLIGHT CONTROLS AND LANDED ON REMAINING RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT OVERRAN THE END OF RUNWAY AND STRUCK AN END OF RUNWAY LIGHT WITH THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR BEFORE COMING TO A STOP IN THE OVERRUN AREA.? THE AIRCRAFT WAS CHECKED FOR DAMAGE AND THEN RETURNED TO THE MAINTENANCE HANGAR UNDER ITS OWN POWER.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
