## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

N3152Q WAS RETURNING TO KLDJ FROM KFWN ON THE AFTERNOON OF JULY 18, 2017 AT APPROXIMATELY 14:00 LOCAL. UPON ARRIVAL TO THE LINDEN AREA THE AWOS WAS REPORTING WINDS FROM 140 DEGREES AT 9 KNOTS. THE PILOT DECIDED TO JOIN THE LEFT HAND PATTERN FOR RUNWAY 9. HE RECALLS THAT AT SHORT-FINAL HIS INDICATED AIRSPEED WAS APPROXIMATELY 70 KNOTS. THE LANDING FLARE WAS INITIATED WITH IDLE POWER. TURBULENCE WAS EXPERIENCED AND A SLIGHT DRIFT TO THE NORTH OCCURRED. THE PILOT TOUCHED DOWN HARD WITH AN IMPROPER AIRCRAFT ATTITUDE SHORTLY AFTER CROSSING THE THRESHOLD MARKINGS OF RUNWAY 9. THE AIRPLANE BECAME AIRBORNE AGAIN ("BOUNCED") AND IMPACTED THE RUNWAY SEVERAL FEET FROM THE INITIAL POINT OF CONTACT WITH A NOSE DOWN ATTITUDE CAUSING SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO SEVERAL COMPONENTS INCLUDING THE PROPELLER, ENGINE, NOSE GEAR ASSEMBLY AND FIREWALL. THE AIRPLANE CAME TO A STOP ON THE GRASS AREA NORTH OF RUNWAY 9-27 FACING NORTHEAST.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
