## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

^MR. JOSEPH HOYLE^ WAS CONDUCTING A RENTAL CHECKOUT FOR ^STUART COX^. SEVERAL SUCCESSFUL LANDINGS TOOK PLACE PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT. ON THE FINAL LANDING, ^MR. COX^ WAS TOLD TWICE BY ^MR. HOYLE^ THAT HE WAS LOW AND FINALLY THAT HE WAS LOW AND SLOW. ^MR HOYLE^ STATED THAT HE ATTEMPTED TO PUSH IN THE THROTTLE BUT ^MR. COX'S^ HAND WAS IN THE WAY. THE PLANE LANDED SHORT OF THE RUNWAY DAMAGING THE TIRES, WHEEL PANTS, ONE FAIRING, AND THE PROPELLER STRUCK A THRESHOLD LIGHT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
