## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT WAS FLYING WITH A FRIEND TO PERFORM TOUCH AND GO'S AT KAFJ AND KHLG AIRPORTS. WHILE ENROUTE TO KAFJ, THE PILOT LET HIS FRIEND CONTROL THE AIRCRAFT DURING LEVEL FLIGHT. ON DESCENT TO KAFJ, THE PILOT TOOK OVER THE AIRCRAFT/FLIGHT. THE PILOT ADMITTED HE RUSHED THROUGH HIS LANDING CHECKLIST AND JUST GLANCED AT THE GEAR INDICATION, WHICH WAS RED. THE PILOT FURTHER STATED HE WAS OUT OF HIS ROUTINE AND THE RED GEAR INDICATION DID NOT REGISTER IN THE PILOT'S MIND. THE PILOT REALIZED ONCE THE AIRCRAFT WAS CLOSE TO THE GROUND THAT THE GEAR WAS NOT TOUCHING THE GROUND. THE PILOT MADE A GEAR UP LANDING ON RUNWAY 27 AT KAFJ AIRPORT.

Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
