## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE PERFORMING AGRICULTURAL SPRAY OPERATIONS FIVE MILES WEST OF STACYVILLE, IA. THE PILOT FAILED TO MAINTAIN SUFFICIENT ROTOR PRM TO ARREST HIS DESCENT FROM A 180 TURN MANEUVER AT THE END OF THE FIELD. AS HE RE-ENTERED THE FIELD, THE PILOT USED THE REMAINING RPM TO LAND. THE RESULT WAS A HARD CAUSING SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE HELICOPTER. THE HELICOPTER LANDED IN THE CORN FIELD WITH ENOUGH FORCE THAT THE MAIN ROTOR BLADE CONTACTED THE TAIL BOOM AND SEPERATED THE TAIL ROTOR SECTION FROM THE HELICOPTER.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
