## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT WAS CLEARED BY ATC FOR TOUCH AND GO. A HARD LANDING PUNCTURED THE NOSE TIRE. THE AIRCRAFT NOSE LANDING GEAR SEPARATED, THE NOSE WHEEL AND PART OF THE NOSE LANDING GEAR DEPARTED THE AIRCRAFT, THE ENGINE REMAINED RUNNING AND ALL THREE PROPELLER BLADE TIPS MADE CONTACT WITH THE RUNWAY SURFACE. THE AIRCRAFT SETTLED APPROXIMATELY MIDFIELD 2 FEET FROM THE EDGE OF THE RUNWAY. THE NOSE TIRE WAS NOT THE CORRECT PART NUMBER CALLED OUT BY THE AIRCRAFT MANUFACTURER. THE NOSE TIRE WAS INSTALLED BY A REPAIRMAN.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
