## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THIS WAS THE LEAD PLANE (N6GT) OF A 4 SHIP AEROBATIC TEAM LOST ENGINE POWER WHILE TAXIING TO PARKING. PLANE BEHIND (N16MR) RAN INTO THE LEAD PLANE CAUSING SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO N6GT AND MINOR DAMAGE TO N16MR.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB GAA17CA458](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/GAA17CA458), Jul 28, 2017: Wilts Gayle T RV-3A (N6GT), Spokane, WA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The other pilot’s failure to maintain adequate clearance and visual lookout while taxiing, which resulted in his airplane colliding with the stationary airplane.

## Other reports on N6GT (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19940429023559I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19940429023559I), Apr 29, 1994: Amtrmm RV3 (N6GT), Tea, SD, Minor damage. Engine lost power on climbout. Landed in soft field. Nosed over.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
