## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT REPORTED THAT UPON ROTATION THE LANDING GEAR DID NOT RETRACT PROPERLY. A "BURNT SMELL" WAS NOTED IN THE COCKPIT. THE PILOT ATTEMPTED TO EXTEND THE LANDING GEAR AND ELECTED TO RETURN TO THE AIRPORT. THE PILOT NOTICED THAT THE GREEN DOWN AND LOCKED INDICATOR LIGHT FAILED TO ILLUMINATE. THE LANDING GEAR WAS THEN EXTENDED MANUALLY AND THE GREEN DOWN AND LOCKED INDICATOR LIGHT DID ILLUMINATE. THE AIRCRAFT FIRST TOUCHED DOWN ON THE MAIN LANDING GEAR. WHEN THE NOSE LANDING GEAR TIRE MADE CONTACT WITH THE RUNWAY, ALL THREE GEAR RETRACTED. THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO THE OCCUPANTS OF THE AIRCRAFT.
