## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE OWNER TOOK THE AIRCRAFT OUT FOR A LOCAL FLIGHT AFTER COMPLETING THE CONDITION INSPECTION. DURING LANDING ON RUNWAY 35, THE AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN HARD, BOUNCED AND MADE A HARD LEFT TURN CONTACTING THE GROUND ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE TAXI WAY AND CAME TO REST ON THE BANK OF THE DRAINAGE DITCH.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB GAA17CA467](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/GAA17CA467), Jul 30, 2017: James D Riggs RV-10 (N616JJ), Lawrenceburg, TN, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s improper landing flare and failure to maintain yaw control during a go-around in gusting wind conditions.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
