## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

STUDENT PILOT WITH ALL AMERICAN AVIATION SERVICES WAS ON A SOLO FLIGHT PRACTICING LANDINGS ON 08/05/2017. WINDS ON THAT DAY, AS REPORTED BY FAY ATC, WERE 260 DEGREES AT 8 KNOTS AND THE LANDINGS WERE BEING DONE ON RUNWAY 22 AT FAY AIRPORT. STUDENT PILOT STATED THAT ON HIS FIRST TOUCH AND GO HE LANDED FINE THEN REMOVED THE CROSSWIND CORRECTION OF HIS AILERONS. HE THEN FELT THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE AIRPLANE START TO LIFT AND FELT THE PLANE BEING PUSHED TO THE LEFT. HE THEN PUT RIGHT AILERON CORRECTION IN AND RIGHT RUDDER. AFTER THIS CORRECTION INPUT, THE PLANE MADE A SHARPTURN OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY. HE WAS ABLE TO REGAIN CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT AND WAS GETTING BACK ON THE RUNWAY WHEN THE WING HIT THE RUNWAY REMAINING MARKER.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
