## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

08/06/2017 AT APPROXIMATELY 01:45 ZULU, A PIPER PA-28, REGISTRATION N75200, WITH PILOT IN COMMAND (PIC) EN ROUTE FROM FORT LAUDERDALE EXECUTIVE AIRPORT (FXE) TO IMMOKALE REGIONAL AIRPORT (IMM) DECLARED AN EMERGENCY AND DIVERTED TO SOUTHWEST FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (RSW) DUE TO THROTTLE STUCK IN FULL OPEN POSITION. PIC STABILIZED AIRCRAFT ON FINAL APPROACH TO RSW, LEANED MIXTURE, SHUT DOWN ENGINE AND GLIDED TO RUNWAY 24, AND LANDED WITHOUT INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
