## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT WAS TAKING OFF FROM THE HECTOR AIRPORT ON A LOCAL FLIGHT. PILOT COMPLETED FIRST FLIGHT WITH NO PASSENGER NOR ISSUES. AFTER HE LANDED, HE PICKED UP THE PASSENGER AND ATTEMPTED TO TAKE OFF. HE SKIPPED SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN A HIGH ANGLE OF CLIMB UNTIL THE AIRCRAFT STALLED AND IMPACTED THE GROUND AT A HIGH ANGLE OF ATTACK. THE AIRCRAFT ROLLED OVER COMPLETELY BEFORE COMING TO A STOP. BOTH THE PILOT AND THE PASSENGER WERE TRANSPORTED TO THE HOSPITAL.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN17LA304](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN17LA304), Aug 6, 2017: Roger M Allen RA2 (N952RA), Hector, MN, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s improper installation of the control stick hardware, which resulted in a loss of elevator control in flight.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
