## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON AUGUST 17, 2017, AT APPROXIMATELY 17:55 HOURS, A PIPER PA-46-350P ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ OPERATED BY THE PILOT, CRASHED AT BROWNSVILLE AIRPORT WHEN ITS NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED DURING LANDING. VFR FLIGHT CONDITIONS PREVAILED AND THE PILOT DID NOT FILE A FLIGHT PLAN. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE AND THE PILOT, PRIVATE RATED, SUSTAINED NO INJURIES. THE FLIGHT ORIGINATED BROOKS COUNTY ON AUGUST 17, 2017 AND CRASHED APPROXIMATELY 20 MINUTES AFTER TAKE OFF.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
