## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT WAS ON HIS WAY BACK TO HOUSTON FROM ATHENS TEXAS. PILOT NOTICED HE HAD ZERO OIL PRESSURE, HE REPORTED TO ATC HE NEEDED TO LAND AT NEAREST AIRPORT. ATC DIRECTED HIM TO CONROE CXO. PILOT PROCEEDED TO CXO AND THEN OIL SPRAY WAS COMING OVER THE WINDSHIELD. PILOT REPORTED TO ATC THE ENGINE MADE A LOUD BANG AND WAS LOSING POWER. ATC ADVISED PILOT TO TRY TO LAND ON HWY 105. PILOT ELECTED TO LAND IN HAY FIELD RIGHT BELOW HIM. PILOT EXTENDED LANDING GEAR AND LANDED IN FIELD WITHOUT INCIDENT. NO DAMAGE TO PROPERTY OR PERSONNEL.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
