## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT OF A CESSNA 180 HAD RIGHT BRAKE CONTROL ISSUES WHILE TAXIING, WHICH RESULTED IN THE PILOT GROUND LOOPING THE AICRAFT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA17LA290](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA17LA290), Aug 20, 2017: Cessna 180 (N1585C), Newport, NH, substantial damage. Probable cause: A leak in the right brake slave cylinder, which led to no fluid in the reservoir and subsequent asymmetric braking.

## Other reports on N1585C (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 19800621055879I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19800621055879I), Jun 21, 1980: Cessna 180 (N1585C), Osceola, MN, 1 fatal. Main parachute did not open. Reserve did not open in time. One skydiver fatality.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
