## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT WAS HESITANT TO GO TO TANGIER ISLAND DUE TO THE LENGTH OF THE RUNWAY AND LACK OF FACILITIES AVAILABLE. HE HAD EXPERIENCE WITH SHORT RUNWAYS IN THE CIRRUS THAT HE WAS FLYING. THE PILOT MADE A LOWER THAN NORMAL APPROACH AND AIMED TO TOUCHDOWN ON THE NUMBERS OF THE RUNWAY. HE LANDED SHORT AND PORPOISED. AFTER THE 3RD BOUNCE HE ELECTED TO GO AROUND. HE FOUND THE PROP STRIKE UPON POST FLIGHT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
