## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT EXECUTED A NORMAL APPROACH AND LANDING ON RWY 30 AT NORTH PLATTE NEBRASKA (LBF). AFTER LANDING AND DURING ROLLOUT, AFTER THE TAILWHEEL TOUCHED DOWN, THE PILOT REPORTED A SEVERE "SHIMMY" IN THE TAILWHEEL FOLLOWED BY A STRONG LEFT TURNING TENDENCY. THIS WAS UNCORRECTABLE AND RESULTED IN LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT IN A LEFT TURN. THE RESULTING LEFT TURN CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO ROLL LATERALLY TO THE RIGHT CAUSING THE RIGHT WING AND RIGHT HORIZONTAL STABILIZER TO IMPACT THE RUNWAY, CAUSING SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE WING AND STABILIZER. THE PILOT REPORTED THE AIRCRAFT RIGHTED ITSELF WITHOUT EXTERNAL ASSISTANCE. THE PILOT TAXIIED THE AIRCRAFT TO THE LEFT FROM THE RUNWAY WITH RESISTANCE FELT IN THE TAILWHEEL. WHEN COMPLETING THE TURN TO EXIT THE RUNWAY, THE RESISTANCE SEEMED TO RELEASE AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS TAXXIED TO THE HANGAR WITHOUT FURTHER ISSUE. THE PILOT AND TWO PASSENGERS RECEIVED NO INJURIES.
