## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

MADE NORMAL APPROACH DECENT, FLARED AND TOUCHED DOWN ON THE MAINS RIGHT ON CENTERLINE. THE NOSE WHEEL TOUCHED DOWN AND AS THE WEIGHT SETTLED ONTO THE NOSE WHEEL THE AIRPLANE DEVELOPED A HARD LEFT TURN. UNABLE TO COMPENSATE WITH RIGHT RUDDER PEDAL. WENT OFF THE RUNWAY AND ABOUT 20 YDS. THE NOSE WHEEL HIT A BUMP IN THE TERRAIN AND COLLAPSED.

THIS REPORT MAY BE REVISED WITH ADDITIONAL EVIDENCE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB GAA17CA558](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/GAA17CA558), Aug 27, 2017: Bellanca 14 19 (N36KC), Redding, CA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to maintain directional control during the landing roll.

## Other reports on N36KC (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Accident 19810912058779A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19810912058779A), Sep 12, 1981: Blanca 14193A (N36KC), Weaver, AL, Minor damage. Aircraft wheel hit hole in runway shearing off gear and causing aircraft to veer off runway.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
