## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 29 AUGUST 2017 AT APPROXIMATELY 1245 HOURS PACIFIC DAYLIGHT TIME, N622MP, A ROBINSON R-22 AIRCRAFT , CONDUCTING TRAINING ON AT SACRAMENTO EXECUTIVE AIRPORT, SACRAMENTO CA. THE TRAINING FLIGHT WAS CONDUCTED UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF 14 CFR PART 91. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED.

THE FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR STATED THAT THE AIRCRAFT ENTERED AN UNCOMMANDED RIGHT SPIN DURING QUICK STOP MANUEVER ON TAXIWAY "M".

A STUDENT PILOT WAS ON THE FLIGHT CONTROLS WHEN THE SPIN OCCURRED. THE CFI TOOK CONTROL OF AIRCRAFT IN AN ATTEMPT TO ARREST THE SPIN AND INITIATED A LANDING. AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN HARD WHILE STILL IN A RIGHT SPIN IN A REAR WARD MOTION. AIRCRAFT DIPPED AFT AND THE TAIL STINGER AND TAIL ROTOR STRUCK THE GRAVEL AREA ADJACENT TO THE TAXIWAY DAMAGING THE TAIL ROTOR, TAIL STINGER, AND VERTICAL STABILIZER.

THE INVESTIGATING INSPECTOR FOUND THE PILOT TO BE FORTHCOMING, COOPERATIVE, AND TO HAVE A CONSTRUCTIVE AND COMPLIANT ATTITUDE. A SEARCH IN THE FAA'S DATABASES DID NOT DISCLOSE ANY PREVIOUS VIOLATIONS, ACCIDENTS, OR INCIDENT HISTORY.

THIS REPORT MAY BE REVISED WITH ADDITIONAL EVIDENCE
