## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

N75753 WAS ON ITS FOURTH SIGHTSEEING FLIGHT OF THE DAY. DURING TAKEOFF CLIMB OUT FROM SANTA PAULA AIRPORT (KSZP), SANTA PAULA, CA, THE PILOT OF N75753 NOTED THAT THE ENGINE WAS SLOWLY LOSING POWER.

PILOT TURNED THE AIRCRAFT BACK TO THE RUNWAY WITH THE ENGINE STILL GENERATING POWER. PILOT PERFORMED AN OFF AIRPORT LANDING IN THE SANTA CLARA RIVERBED, RESULTING IN THE AIRCRAFT FLIPPING OVER.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
