## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT LANDED ON A HIGHWAY, PARKED AND SET THE PARKING BRAKE, AND PICKED UP A PASSENGER. THEN BACK TAXIED UP THE HIGHWAY, MADE THE TURN AND APPLIED POWER FOR THE TAKE OFF ROLL. HE FELT A LURCH AND REALIZED HE HAD NOT DISENGAGED THE PARKING BRAKE AND SAW IT RELEASE ON ITS OWN. HE ASSUMED THAT IS WHAT CAUSED THE LURCH AND PROCEEDED WITH TAKE OFF AND THE FLIGHT TO HOME BASE. THE PILOT STATED HE FELT NO DIFFERENCE IN THE FLIGHT CHARACTERISTICS ON THE RETURN TRIP. HE DISCOVERED THE DAMAGE DURING REFUELING AT HOME BASE.
