## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

TNV37 DEPARTED MERRILL FIELD ENROUTE TO TATITLEK AT 16:41 LOCAL TIME. DURING CLIMB OUT THE PILOT NOTICES A STRANGE SMELL IN THE COCKPIT AND ALSO NOTICED A HIGHER THAN NORMAL AMPERAGE INDICATION ON RIGHT HAND GENERATOR METER. PILOT ELECTED TO TERMINATE FLIGHT AND RETURN TO ANCHORAGE BASE.

NO SMELL WAS EVIDENT AFTER LANDING. MAINTENANCE CLEANED AND RETORQUED THE RIGHT GENERATOR FEEDER BUS CONNECTOR. AIRCRAFT WAS FLIGHT TESTED WITH NO ABNORMALITIES NOTED AND RETURNED TO SERVICE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
