## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON SEPTEMBER 13TH, 2017 AT 1545 (EDT) A BOMBARDIER CRJ-200 OPERATED BY PSA AIRLINES FLIGHT 5233 COLLIDED WITH A BAGGAGE TUG OPERATED BY PSA AIRLINES DURING TAXI. THE AIRPLANE RECEIVED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE LEFT WING, THE TUG CANOPY SECTION WAS DAMAGED. THE TUG DRIVER WAS SERIOUSLY INJURED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES ABOARD THE CRJ.

AFTER LANDING ON RUNWAY 18R THE AIRCRAFT WAS INSTRUCTED TO TAXI TO GATE E4. DURING TAXI IN A NARROWING AREA OF THE WEST RAMP AT CONCOURSE E THE GROUND TUG IMPACTED THE LEFT WINGTIP. THE BAGGAGE TUG WAS SLIGHTLY AHEAD OF THE AIRCRAFT TRAVELING IN THE SAME DIRECTION (EAST TO WEST). A TERMINAL ROAD CROSSES THE TAXI WAY NEAR GATE E38. THE TUG DRIVER WAS INTENDING TO CROSS THE TAXI-WAY USING THE SERVICE ROAD. UPON REACHING THE POINT TO COMMENCE THE RIGHTHAND TURN THE TUG DRIVER CROSSED INTO THE ROADWAY. WHEN THE TUG DRIVER NOTICED THE AIRCRAFT THE DRIVER CONTINUED THE RIGHT HAND TURN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION THE AIRCRAFT WHERE THE IMPACT OCCURED.
