## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

STUDENT PILOT WAS PRACTICING TAKEOFFS AND LANDINGS AT THE MEDINA MUNICIPAL AIRPORT. DURING THE SECOND LANDING THE STUDENT FLARED HIGHER THAN NORMAL AND ATTEMPTED TO CORRECT IT. DURING THE CORRECTION THE AIRCRAFT LANDED HARD AND BEGAN BOUNCING. THE BOUNCING WAS DIVERGING MORE SEVERELY EACH BOUNCE WHICH RESULTED IN STRIKING THE NOSE GEAR WHICH COLLAPSED. THE PROPELLER STRUCK THE GROUND WHEN THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED RESULTING IN DAMAGE TO THE PROPELLER. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST UPRIGHT ON THE RUNWAY SURFACE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)
