## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT DEPARTED IN VFR CONDITIONS FROM BRADFORD, PA (KBFD)TO PITTSBURG INTERNATIONAL, PA (KPIT) ON OCTOBER 19, 2017. THE SIC (PILOT FLYING) ASKED THE PIC (PILOT NOT FLYING), TO RETRIEV THEIR SUNGLASSES FROM A BAG LOCATED BEHIND THE SIC'S SEAT. THE PIC COULD NOT LOCATE THE SUNGLASSES. THE SIC ELECTED TO REACH BACK AND GET THE SUNGLASSES THEMSELVES, AND IN DOING SO, ALLOWED THE AIRCRAFTS NOSE TO PITCH UP. THE NOSE UP CONDITION CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO CLIMB SLIGHTLY AND THEREFORE, EXCEEDING THE ASSIGNED ALTITUDE OF 6000 FEET BY 300 FEET.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
