## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT CRASH INVESTIGATION COULD FIND NO CAUSE CONCERING THE AIRCRAFT. AIRCRAFT IMPACTED GROUND NOSE LOW AND PLANTED THE PROPELLER HUB AND FRONT OF THE ENGINE INTO THE GROUND. NTSB SENT BLOOD SAMPLE FROM PLEXEGLASS THAT COULD HAVE BEEN FROM BIRD STRIKE. WILL UPDATE REPORT PENDING RESULTS OF TESTING THAT BLOOD.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR18FA011](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR18FA011), Oct 19, 2017: Peterson Lancair Legacy (N259L), Bowie, AZ, substantial damage, 1 fatal. Probable cause: An in-flight loss of control due to a bird strike.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
