## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AFTER LANDING AT 9G0 RUNWAY 24, A DEER STRUCK THE RIGHT WING LEADING EDGE BETWEEN THE FUEL TANK AND FUSELAGE CAUSING SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE WING.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB GAA18CA032](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/GAA18CA032), Oct 27, 2017: Piper PA28 (N4509F), West Seneca, NY, substantial damage. Probable cause: The airplane's collision with a deer during the landing roll.

## Other reports on N4509F (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Accident 19811115073609A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19811115073609A), Nov 15, 1981: Piper PA28151 (N4509F), Rochester, NY, Substantial damage. Left wheel struck a large dog that ran in front on takeoff. Impact sheared gear bolts. Gear collapsed on landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
