## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT PICKED UP N7527Q FROM DELAND MUNICIPAL AIRPORT (KDED) AFTER PAINT WORK. AFTER TAKEOFF, PILOT HEARD LOUD NOISE AS HE RAISED THE GEAR EVEN THOUGH GEAR INDICATIONS SHOWED RETRACTED. 10 MILES OUT FROM KGNV, HE LOWERED GEAR AND NOTICED THE NOSE GEAR DID NOT SHOW GREEN. AFTER FLYING A LOW PASS FOR TOWER TO CONFIRM IT WAS NOT EXTENDED, HE CLIMBED TO TRY TO APPLY G'S AND THEN MANUALLY EXTEND. HE STILL DID NOT GET GREEN LIGHT AND ELECTED TO LAND NOSE GEAR UP IN THE GRASS PARALLEL RWY 11. TWR CLEARED THE PATTERN AND LANDING WAS SMOOTH WITH EMERGENCY CREWS STANDING BY FOR IMMEDIATE ASSISTANCE. TWR NOTIFIED THE ROC.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
