## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING POST FLIGHT INSPECTION, THE FLIGHT CREW FOUND EVIDENCE OF A BIRD STRIKE THAT CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE #1 ENGINE COWLING INLET LIP. THE BIRD STRIKE INSPECTION WAS COMPLETED AND DOCUMENTED IN THE LOGBOOK WITH NO ADDITIONAL DAMAGE FOUND. THE INLET LIP DAMAGE WAS RECORDED AS FOLLOWS:

THE DAMAGE LIMIT WAS .048"

THE ACTUAL DAMAGE WAS .055".

THE AIRCRAFT WAS FOUND SAFE FOR A FERRY FLIGHT TO IND FOR INLET LIP REPLACEMENT.

ONCE IN IND, THE INLET LIP WAS REPLACED AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNED TO SERVICE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
