## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING TAKEOFF ROLLOUT, THE AIRCRAFT WAS CLOSE TO ROTATION SPEED.

THE AIRCRAFT DRIFTED IN EXCESS OF 100' LEFT OF CENTER AND THEN OFF THE RUNWAY. THE AIRPLANE TOOK OFF BUT THE RIGHT LANDING GEAR STRUCK THE RUNWAY SIGN. RESULT IN MINIMAL DAMAGE. MOSTLY TO RIGHT LANDING GEAR.

- [Incident 19860524033229I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19860524033229I), May 24, 1986: Beech D35 (N3430B), Kankakee, IL. Precautionary landing after power loss en route. Propeller control switch was defective.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
