## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 11/19/2017, THE PILOT OF N577MC REPORTED TO THE CINCINNATI POLICE WHAT APPEARS TO BE A BULLET HOLE IN THE LEFT HORIZONTAL STABILIZER INDICATING A TOP TO BOTTOM TRAJECTORY. THE HOLE WAS DISCOVERED DURING HIS WALK AROUND OF THE AIRCRAFT ON 11/19/2017. HE LANDED THE AIRCRAFT AT LUK THE NIGHT BEFORE AROUND 1930 WITH NO DAMAGE THAT HE WAS AWARE OF. HE STATED THE HOLE WAS NOT THERE PRIOR TO THEIR DEPARTURE FROM PBI TO LUK. THE FAA AND CINCINNATI POLICE INVESTIGATED AND DETERMINED FROM THE DAMAGE, THE TRAJECTORY OF THE POSSIBLE BULLET/OBJECT ENTERED THE TOP OF THE LEFT HORIZONTAL STABILIZER AND EXITED THROUGH THE BOTTOM. INSPECTION OF THE AREA WHERE THE AIRCRAFT WAS PARKED COULD NOT DETERMINE WHERE THE BULLET/OBJECT CAME FROM. ALSO THE INVESTIGATION WAS UNABLE TO LOCATE THE BULLET/OBJECT THAT GENERATED THE HOLE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
