## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 11/24/2017, AT 1100 MST, N666BK, AN EXPERIMENTAL AMATEUR BUILT RV9 HIT THE FENCE POST ON LANDING ROLL OUT OFF AIRPORT. THERE WAS SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO BOTH WINGS. THERE WERE TWO PERSONS ON BOARD AND NO INJURIES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB GAA18CA057](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/GAA18CA057), Nov 24, 2017: Karpayev Vladyslav V RV-9 (N666BK), Moab, UT, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s selection of an unsuitable taxiway, which resulted in the wings striking hidden fence posts.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
