## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT REPORTED WHILE PERFORMING TOUCH AND GO RWY 01 SAV WITH A CLIMBOUT TO 2000 TO REENTER THE TOWER PATTERN WHEN THEY FELT/SEEN THE BIRD STRIKE. ONE LARGE BLACK BIRD HIT THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE FUSELAGE UNDER THE COPILOT SIDE WINDOW. THEY SAW THE BIRD ABOUT 2 SECONDS BEFORE IMPACT. COULD NOT AVOID. LANDED BACK IN SAV WITHOUT INCIDENT

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
