## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE MAKING AN APPROACH TO LAND ON RUNWAY 15 AT THE SALMON BAR AIR STRIP, THE AIRMAN INDICATED THE AIRCRAFT WAS FLOATING MORE THAN EXPECTED AND TOUCHDOWN WAS FURTHER DOWN THE RUNWAY THAN PLANNED. AFTER TOUCHDOWN THE AIRMAN EXECUTED A GO-AROUND. AT THE END OF THE RUNWAY THE AIRMAN MADE A LEFT TURN TO AVOID TERRAIN AND STRUCK A TREE WITH THE LEFT WING. THIS CAUSED COMPLETE LOSS OF CONTROL AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS DESTROYED AFTER IMPACTING THE GROUND.

44709 PLANNED AS FOLLOW-UP ACTION

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
