## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DEPARTED PRIVATE FIELD AND LANDED AT DILLINGHAM AIRFIELD. UPON LANDING, HE STATED THAT THE SUSPENSION DIDN'T FEEL RIGHT AND THE AIRCRAFT ATTEMPTED TO GROUND LOOP. HE EXITED THE AIRCRAFT AND DID ANOTHER PREFLIGHT INSPECTION. HE STATED THAT EVERYTHING APPEARED NORMAL. THE AIRCRAFT WAS COMING DUE FOR AN ANNUAL SO HE DECIDED TO FLY IT TO JOHN RODGERS FIELD (JRF) WHERE HIS HANGAR IS LOCATED. HE EXECUTED A NORMAL LANDING AND APPROXIMATELY 30 FEET AFTER TOUCHING DOWN, HE EXPERIENCED A RIGHT GEAR FAILURE AND GROUND LOOPED THE AIRCRAFT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR18LA065](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR18LA065), Jan 13, 2018: Just JA30 Superstol (N413Z), Kapolei, HI, substantial damage. Probable cause: The collapse and separation of the right landing gear suspension strut due to overload.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
