## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THIS WAS A LOCAL FLIGHT. ON BASE LEG THE PILOT PUT THE GEAR HANDLE DOWN, HOWEVER, THE LANDING GEAR DID NOT COME DOWN. THE PILOT CALLED THE TOWER TO CANCEL LANDING CLEARANCE AND DEPARTED THE PATTERN TO TROUBLE SHOOT THIS PROBLEM. THE PILOT PUMPED THE GEAR DOWN. AFTER TWO CYCLES, ONLY AIR WAS COMING. THE NOSE WHEEL CAME DOWN AND LOCKED. THE MAINS DID NOT. THE PILOT TRIED STEEP TURNS AND HIGH G FORCE MANEUVERS TO BRING THE GEAR DOWN, HOWEVER, HIS EFFORTS DID NOT WORK. THE PILOT RETURNED FOR LANDING, AND TOUCHED DOWN AT A REDUCED AIRSPEED. THE AIRCRAFT SETTLED ONTO THE RUNWAY SURFACE, AND TURNED TOWARD THE RIGHT AS THE RIGHT TANK HAD MORE FUEL THAN THE LEFT.
