## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

NARRATIVE:

ON JANUARY 21, 2018 1525 PST TIME, N53459 A BOEING PT17 STEARMAN ON THE FOURTH LANDING WENT INTO A GROUND LOOP AT RAL (RIVERSIDE AIRPORT) SCRAPPING BOTH THE LEFT AND RIGHT WING TIPS. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO AIRPORT PROPERTY AND MINOR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. PILOT STATED THAT THE TAILWHEEL KICKED OVER TO THE LEFT AND THE PLANE WENT INTO A SLOW GROUND LOOP AND AFTER OVERCORRECTING THE AIRCRAFT TURNED THE OTHER DIRECTION 180 DEGREES SCRAPPING THE OPPOSITE WING TIP.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
