## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

A 1984 GLASAIR, EXPERIMENTAL AIRCRAFT, HAD TWO UNSAFE MAIN GEAR LIGHTS AND A SAFE NOSEWHEEL LIGHT. THE PILOT AND CFI CYCLED THE GEAR AND WITH NO IMPROVEMENT. AFTER TOWER SAID THE GEAR LOOKED DOWN, THEY LANDED AND UPON THE NOSEWHEEL TOUCHING THE GROUND THE AIRCRAFT SWERVED LEFT. IT DEPARTED THE RUNWAY, DID A SLIGHT BOUNCE AND THE RIGHT GEAR SHEARED OFF. THERE WAS NO PROP DAMAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
