## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT DEPARTED RENO/TAHOE/STEAD (RTS) AND FLEW VFR TO ELKO REGIONAL AIRPORT (EKO). UPON LANDING ROLLOUT, THE PILOT NOTICED THE LEFT BRAKE WAS INOPERATIVE. A TOUCH AND GO WAS INITIATED AND THE PILOT RETURNED FOR LANDING AT A SLOWER APPROACH SPEED AND IN PREPARATION OF A NO BRAKE LANDING. THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED ON ROLLOUT AND AGAIN THE LEFT BRAKE WAS INOPERATIVE. THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY INTO A DRAINAGE DITCH.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR18LA094](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR18LA094), Feb 21, 2018: Soko Galeb G 2 (N90SR), Elko, NV, substantial damage. Probable cause: An improperly installed brake cylinder, which resulted in insufficient hydraulic pressure being provided to three of the brake cylinders and the left brake being inoperable during landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
