## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

A GRUMMAN AA-1, ON BASE FINAL STRUCK AN EGRET INBOUND TO RUNWAY26 AT THE ORMOND BEACH MUNICIPAL AIRPORT. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED AND REPORTED A FLAT TIRE BUT NO VISIBLE DAMAGE. FURTHER EXAMINATION DISCLOSED MINOR DAMAGE TO THE WHEEL PANT AND ASSOCIATED SUPERFICIAL SCRATCHES IN AND AROUND THE AREA OF IMPACT WITH THE EGRET EXTENDING OUTBOARD ON THE LEADING EDGE SURFACE OF THE LEFT WING BUT NOTHING SUBSTANTIAL. THE PILOT WAS INFORMED OF HER RESPONSIBLY TO COMPLETE AN FAA FORM 5200-7 (BIRD/OTHER WILDLIFE) AND FILE IT TO THE APPROPRIATE AGENCY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
