## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT WAS TEST FLYING HIS ZENITH CH750 FOR PHASE 1 CERTIFICATION FOR HIS EXPERIMENTAL AMATEUR BUILT AIRCRAFT. HE WAS FLYING FROM NAPOLEON, MI (3NP) TO JACKSON COUNTY (KJXN) AND LANDING ON RUNWAY 25.

THE PILOT REPORTED THAT WHILE FLARING TO LAND ON RWY 25 THE WINDS WERE GUSTY AND HE WAS NOT ALIGNED WITH THE CENTERLINE OF THE RUNWAY. HE SAID HIS AIRSPEED GOT SLOW AND THE WIND GOT UNDER THE RIGHT WING RAISING THE RIGHT MAIN WHEEL INTO THE AIR. THE AIRCRAFT PROPELLER STRUCK THE RUNWAY JUST PAST BRAVO INTERSECTION AND HAD TO BE TOWED OFF THE RUNWAY.

ALL THREE BLADES OF THE COMPOSITE PROPELLER WERE DAMAGED AND ONE BLADE SEPARATED FROM THE PROPELLER HUB. A SMALL DENT WAS OBSERVED ON THE LEFT WING FLAPERON, WHICH WAS LIKELY CAUSED BY THE DEPARTING PROPELLER BLADE. NO OTHER DAMAGE WAS NOTED.

WINDS AT JXN 16 MINUTES AFTER THE INCIDENT WERE REPORTED AS 240 AT 9 KNOTS WITH GUSTS TO 18 KNOTS.

THE PILOT REPORTED HE HAD ONLY 2.4 HOURS FLYING THE ZENITH CH750.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
