## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AT ABOUT 50 MILES FROM BURNET AIRPORT (BMQ), THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FAILED CAUSING THE BATTERY TO DRAIN AND THE AIRCRAFT TO LOSE ALL ELECTRICAL POWER. ABOUT THREE MILES FROM BMQ, PILOT LOWERED THE LANDING GEAR, BUT HAD NO LIGHTS TO CONFIRM GEAR HAD EXTENDED. PILOT EXECUTED THE GEAR MANUAL OVERRIDE AND CONTACTED THE BMQ FBO TO CONFIRM IF THE GEAR WAS DOWN. PERSONNEL AT THE FBO DID CONFIRM THE GEAR WAS DOWN AND THE PILOT PROCEEDED TO LAND HIS AIRCRAFT. AIRCRAFT LANDED AND BEGAN TO ROLLOUT WHEN THE NOSE LANDING GEAR COLLAPSED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
