## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 4/10/2018, AT APPROXIMATELY 2251Z, AN EXPERIMENTAL AMATEUR BUILT TWO THIRD SCALE CURTISS JENNY REPLICA AIRCRAFT WAS BLOWN OFF ITS DEPARTURE RUNWAY (MARCH ARB RUNWAY 30) BY A WIND GUST. POB 1; NO INJURIES. DAMAGE WAS MINOR. THE AIRCRAFT WAS RETURNING TO ITS HOME BASE OF RIVERSIDE AIRPORT AFTER SERVING AS A STATIC DISPLAY AIRCRAFT AT THE MARCH FIELD 2018 AIR AND SPACE EXPO.

DURING THE TAKEOFF ROLL AT AIRCRAFT ROTATION, A WIND GUST BLEW THE AIRCRAFT TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF RUNWAY 30 CAUSING A LOSS OF CONTROL. THE PILOT ELECTED TO ABORT THE TAKEOFF. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A STOP 50 FEET TO THE RIGHT OF THE DEPARTURE RUNWAY. DURING ROLLOUT, THE RIGHT WINGTIP CONTACTED THE GROUND. THE PIC TAXIED BACK TO PARKING.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
