## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT WAS FOUND IN A HEAVILY WOODED AREA ACCESSIBLE BY FOOT OR ATV ONLY. FOUND ALL AIRCRAFT COMPONENTS WITHIN A CLOSE PROXIMITY TO THE MAIN ACCIDENT AREA. RIGHT WING WAS REMOVED FROM THE AIRCRAFT FROM IMPACT WITH TALL HARDWOOD TREES AND WAS FOUND AT THE BASE OF THE TREES THAT HAD BEEN STRUCK AND BROKEN OFF AT POINT OF IMPACT. REMAINING AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE WAS FOUND TO HAVE IMPACTED AT WHAT APPEARED TO BE IN A FLAT AND LEVEL POSITION. EMPENNAGE HAD INDICATIONS OF ?PANCAKE? TYPE IMPACT. POST CRASH FIRE HAD CONSUMED THE ENTIRE CABIN AREA. BOTH OCCUPENTS WERE FOUND IN THE AREA OF THE PILOT AND COPILOT SEATS. NO FUEL OR FUEL SMELL WAS PRESENT AT THE ACCIDENT SCENE.

FIRST RESPONDERS WERE THE OHIO STATE HIGHWAY PATROL AND LOCAL FIREFIGHTERS/EMTS. THE STATE TROOPERS PHOTOGRAPHED THE AREA AFTER THEIR ARRIVAL SEVERAL HOURS AFTER THE PROPERTY OWNER?S WIFE SAID SHE HEARD THE INITIAL ?ENGINE NOISE AND LOUD BANG? (0630L). WHEN THE PROPERTY OWNER WAS WALKING HIS DOG AT ABOUT 0830L HE FOUND THE AIRCRAFT AND CALLED THE SHERIFF. STATE TROOPERS WERE NEARBY ALREADY LOOKING FOR N9345Q DUE TO LOSS OF RADAR CONTACT REPORTED FROM ATC.

THE TROOPERS FOUND AND PHOTOGRAPHED A PIECE OF ICE WITH A CONTOUR SIMILAR TO THE LEADING EDGE OF THE WING JUST FORWARD AND OUTBOARD OF THE LEFT WING.

THE COSHOCTON COUNTY CORONER HAD THE BODIES TAKEN TO THE COSHOCTON HOSPITAL MORGUE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
