## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT STATED THAT WHILE FLYING NW AT 500 FEET AGL APPROXIMATELY ONE MILE SSE OF KLDJ ON FRIDAY APRIL 20, 2018 FOR AN AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY EVENT, LOST ENGINE POWER FOLLOWED BY MAIN ROTOR RPM HORN. MADE 2 RIGHT TURNS AND ENTERED AUTO ROTATION TO A SAFE LANDING IN A GRAVELLY AREA NEAR AN EMPTY FUEL TANK. POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENT WERE ON SCENE, A CRANE SUBSEQUENTLY LIFTED THE HELICOPTER, AND A FLAT BED TRAILER REMOVED THE HELICOPTER.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
