## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT LANDED AT APPROXIMATELY 1400 LOCAL TIME, NORMAL LANDING ENSUED, FOLLOWED BY: HARD LEFT UNCOMMANDED DEVIATION FROM RUNWAY CENTERLINE. PILOT ATTEMPTED MAXIMUM CORRECTION TO THE RIGHT WITH RUDDER/STEERING CONTROLS TO KEEP THE AIRCRAFT TRACKING ON THE RUNWAY. THESE INPUTS DID NOT CORRECT DIRECTIONAL CONTROL . AIRCRAFT VEERED FURTHER LEFT AND CONTACTED TAXIWAY SIGN AT CENTER TAXIWAY . NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED DUE TO SHARP LEFT TURNING MOTION AND LEFT HAND SKID ON ALL THREE LANDING GEAR, AS SHOWN BY MARKS ON THE RUNWAY. PILOT STATED THAT HE HAD BEEN CORRECTING FOR A SLIGHT RIGHT CROSSWIND,WITH MINIMAL LEFT RUDDER USAGE WHEN THE AIRCRAFT NOSE SETTLED ON THE RUNWAY AND IMMEDIATELY VEERED "HARD LEFT" OFF OF THE RUNWAY,COLLAPSING THE NOSEGEAR IN THE SOFT SOD.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
