## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT STATEMENT: APPROACHED RNY 29, WIND ABOUT 230 DEGREES, E @ 10-12, LANDED ON CENTERLINE. GRADUALLY APPLIED MAX BRAKE PRESSURE. MAYBE 1-2 SECOND FROM INITIAL CONTACT OF BRAKE PEDDLE TO MAX PRESSURE. AT MAX BRAKE PRESSURE THE AIRCRAFT VEERS PRONOUNCEDLY TO THE LEFT. RIGHT NOSE WHEEL RUDDER IS APPLIED TO CORRECT. BRAKES ARE STILL BEING APPLIED AS PLANE DEPARTS RUNWAY. AFTER DEPARTING RUNWAY BRAKE PRESSURE IS REDUCED TO BEING IN GRASS. I?M ABLE TO NOSE WHEEL STEER THE PLANE STRAIGHT THRU BACK ON THE RUNWAY THRU LESSER BRAKING FORCE, FAVORING RIGHT BRAKE. ONCE BACK ON RUNWAY REAPPLIED MAX BRAKES BRIEFLY UNTIL AIRPLANE NEARLY STOPPED. HARD RIGHT BRAKING WAS NOT USED AS AIRCRAFT WAS GOING OFF RUNWAY DUE TO CONCERN OF A WING STRIKE. RIGHT NOSE WHEEL STEERING INEFFECTIVE DUE TO BEING OVERCAME BRAKING FROM THE MAINS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
