## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT ELECTED TO COMPLETE A SINGLE PILOT TOUCH AND GO IN CROSSWIND CONDITIONS. UPON TOUCHDOWN, PILOT ADDED TAKEOFF POWER AND REALIZED HIS FLAPS WERE STILL FULLY EXTENDED. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO RETRACT THE FLAPS, PILOT NEGLECTED TO MAINTAIN AIRCRAFT CONTROL AND APPLY CROSSWIND CORRECTIONS. THE AIRCRAFT DRIFTED TO THE SIDE OF RUNWAY 18 HITTING A RUNWAY LIGHT WITH THE LEFT WING STRUT CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. PILOT DISCONTINUED TAKEOFF AND AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST ON RUNWAY AFTER REGAINING AIRCRAFT CONTROL.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
