## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON MAY 8, 2018 AT APPROXIMATELY 0900 CDT, A PIPER PA-28 ENCOUNTERED A BIRD STRIKE. THE INCIDENT OCCURRED AT THE END OF A FLIGHT FROM DEVILS LAKE ND TO MINOT ND. ON FINAL APPROACH INTO RUNWAY 31 INTO MINOT, A BIRD FLEW UP FROM NEAR THE RUNWAY AND IMPACTED THE NOSE GEAR DOOR. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
